Getting Started

 Any time I buy some new tech device, I immediately look for the "getting started" pamphlet to help me cut through the clutter and get things up and working.  I kind of feel the same way about my newfound status as an "SLK" (simultaneous liver and kidney) patient.  A year ago, I didn't know I was sick.  A year later I'm on the deceased donor list looking for both a liver and kidney.  I'm told I wouldn't survive just getting a liver without the kidney and vice versa.  So here I am just getting started on a fantastic journey.  I hope this blog captures some of the high (and low) points along the way.
